Official says no Russian budget spending cut needed on COVID-19

MOSCOW, Apr 27 (PRIME) -- The Russian budget requires no reduction of spending due to the coronavirus, Speaker of the Federation Council, parliament's supreme chamber, Valentina Matviyenko, told reporters on Monday.

"The adopted measures allow us to keep all budget parameters. Its adjustment, decrease of spending, is not necessary," Matviyenko said.

She said that the measures of social support announced earlier will be fulfilled in the planned volume.
